Maximo Medical is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion within the healthcare industry, actively supporting California’s Assembly Bills 962 and 1392, which are designed to enhance opportunities for minority-owned businesses in medical and hospital contracting. As a proud 100% Latino-owned company certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), we champion the value of minority representation in the healthcare sector.

Our commitment extends to partnering with influential organizations such as the Latino Chamber of Commerce, Communities Lifting Communities (CLC) and Southern California Hospital Association, where we contribute to initiatives that uplift healthcare quality and community well-being. California's AB 962 requires hospitals with budgets over $25 million to report contracts and spend with diverse suppliers—minority, women, LGBT, and veteran-owned—to HCAI, promoting inclusivity in healthcare procurement.  Please take a moment and check your hospitals minority supplier spend below.  

AB 1392 requires healthcare entities to report on specific metrics related to supplier diversity, including the number and dollar value of contracts awarded to minority, women, veteran, and LGBT-owned businesses. Additionally, the bill encourages healthcare providers to set diversity goals for their procurement practices, aiming to increase opportunities for underrepresented suppliers.

The Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) certifies minority-owned businesses, like Maximo Medical, and connects them with corporate and government procurement opportunities. This certification helps foster supplier diversity and supports economic inclusion by promoting certified minority suppliers. 

The Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC) advocates for hospitals, promotes sound healthcare policies, and brings healthcare leaders together to improve services. Communities Lifting Communities (CLC) is dedicated to improving healthcare quality and supporting community initiatives. I am an active participant in both HASC and CLC, contributing to efforts that elevate healthcare standards and community health. 

The Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce (LALCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to organizing and uniting Latino business owners to foster economic growth and create a positive economic impact. Its mission is to facilitate economic structures and policy initiatives that empower Latino business development and foster economic growth across Los Angeles.
